  1. I like this HP printer as much as I enjoyed using other HP printers I had. The only thing I don’t like is that you have a total of 4 ink cartridges to have to deal with. I miss the one for black and one for color! Now your purchase as various colors are depleted – they seem to deplete at different times! Black didn’t last long and that was the first you have to purchase new. The individual cost of the 4 costs about the same as the two would have cost but you have to spend too much time keeping track of all these cartridges.

I have used the fax part of the printer and it worked fine. I like the print work that it does and I have not used the scanner! B+ machine and highly recommended

Considering shipping, tax, and cost the very best buy was at AMAZON.

  2. out of the box I was horrified at the quality of this computer. It is a real piece of junk. I believe if you thumped the side of the printer with your finger you would break the egg shell plastic It prints right now and was easy to setup but, if there ever was a printer that says, “i’m going to die prematurely”, this is it. Installing it as a local network printer worked fine, but it sits at a static ip and I have yet to be able to get the install program to see the printer over the internet, from my home Vista laptop; even though i can http to the printer’s web interface just fine.

  3. I’ve worked for 24hr Computer Housecalls for over 15 yrs. Done over 1,000 servicecalls for practically every possible printer problem. I spent over a month doing research for just the right printer. Very few printers exist that have the numerous capabilities of the L7780 printer. The large capacity ink cartridges at a fair price (do your research) should not be overlooked. This is a excellent printer and operates quickly and efficiently. The double sided capability is a paper saver not found in many printers today. It took me 4 wks to do my research and make my choice. It was time well spent.

A closer look at these reviews, it’s easy to see that the ratings are mostly either 5 stars or 1 stars. The 1 stars are apparent that the buyers accepted opened boxes. That was their mistake. With no middle stars ratings it should be obvious that this product…when you get a good one…is a consumers dream of a printer. Doing what it says and doing it impressively. Based on my experience…I totally recommend this HP L7780.

  4. This is the best printer I have purchased to date. I especially love the wireless functionality as it allowed me to setup my printer in a convenient location in my office without having to worry about ethernet or USB access.

This is a great small business/home office printer, and the two sided printing has proven to be a wonderful cost saving feature.

  5. I bought this printer a couple of months ago. The printer is very good, I have had no problems out of it. The software is not so good. I loaded it on my desktop ok, but can’t get it to do what I want. I can not load it on my laptop. It kept giving me an error. So I called HP and they couldn’t figure it out. They finally got it to where I can print from my laptop with out installing the software, but I can’t use all of it’s options. I made a cookbook for my mother and I had to save it to an SD card and put that on my desktop just to print on both sides. I still have to call HP back to figure out what is going on. I probably won’t get anywhere this go around either!!
